Sherry (Sharon Klinger) Klinger (Norton)
Have not been to a reunion yet. Great to look through website and see all the familiar faces.
I was a dancer and entertainer in Miami Beach for many years.  Lived at 3rd and Michigan Ave in South Beach.  Won a dramatic scholarship in 6th grade and attended the Ruth Foreman School of Dramatics.  I moved to PA in 1969. Have lived here ever since.  I am married to a wonder man Robert, have 2 wonderful sons, Harris 36 and Garrett 34, two wonderful daughters-in-law Angela and Abbey, and 3 amazing grandsons, Davis, Hayden and Cameron and FINALLY a granddaughter, Ava!  Love them all to the moon and back.   I have worked in education for 25 years; 9 as an assistant teacher in ESL and Kindergarten and the last 16 as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Athletics and Student Activities.  I loved my job and my boss, who was like a third son.  It was very hard for me to leave and retire, but I did almost two years ago.  My husband and I love to be with our grandchildren and travel when we can.  We were in Israel two years ago, and will now travel to Turkey, Greece, and the Greek Islands, G-d willing.
Not sure if we will  make the reunion, not many of my close friends are around.  Thanks to those who arranged this and anyone who remembers me and wants to  contact me, please do!

I have wonderful memories of our Beach High days and many of those "rooted" friends have become lifelong. The sunshine of my life are 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Wishing everyone health, happiness and looking forward to our 50th reunion (amazing how time flies). I still think of us as kids at heart!  Send Carol a MessageSend Carol a Message

September 27, 1947 Retired Optometrist Married 2
In our senior year high school yearbook, I wrote that I wanted to achieve succuess early and retire at 25. Well, I was right about achieving success, but I was off by 41 years in predicting when I would finally retire! Upstate New York is beautiful what with Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains, but we freeze our asses off every winter. So as of last year, we now spend part of the winter in geriatric heaven... a condo in a gated community in Deerfield Beach. I am looking forward to seeing my fellow classmates at our half century reunion so I can show off my trophy wife...Shelley won best latke maker at our temple's last Hanukkah fry off!!

To me, old age is always fifteen years older than I am.

April 03, 1947 Circuit Judge, Retired
Fifty years!  Seems like yesterday, I rode my bike from Normandy Isle to Fun Fair, had the best hot dog in the world, and played miniature golf.  Our time at Beach High was, as I once said at a past reunion, “the best of times…the VERY best of times.” I forged friendships there that remain today, so strong was our bond. College, law school, and a career as an egghead appellate lawyer followed. Along the way, I exited the proverbial closet, found the love of my life--well 22 years of it!  In 1995, Lawton Chiles appointed me as (I’m told) the first out gay judge –- at least in Miami –- and I served on the County Court for nearly ten years.  In 2005, Jeb Bush (yes, hard to believe) appointed me to be a Circuit Judge. I was re-elected three times without opposition and had a great 17-plus years on the bench, loving every minute. Serving as well on the Beach High Reunion Committees through every reunion we have had kept me close to some wonderful “Beach kids” through the decades that were flying by, and I loved every minute of that too. After nearly 20 years on the bench, I decided to try something else--retirement! Still busy though writing a book, occasionally sitting as a "senior judge" when I want, traveling and enjoying life! Our 50th should be our best reunion ever! I can’t wait to see all who have decided to come.  As for retirement though, as I love to say, “every day is Saturday!"
